As of August 8th, 2021 ITC Rubis is fully AEO certified. By obtaining the AEO status we are now considered a trusted partner for Customs Authorities which will also have an effect on our service towards our customers (e.g. reduced waiting time for customs documents).
After 9/11 the USA wanted to have a more detailed picture of incoming goods. In order to do this, they created the C-TPAT platform (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism). The goal of the platform is to create a safe circuit within the total supply chain of goods.
AEO was established in 2007 as the European answer to C-TPAT.
The goal of AEO is identical: to create a safe supply chain for goods entering the EU from the USA. Over time AEO became a highly recognized certification. Its scope reaches beyond merely trading with the United States.
