Health & Safety
At ITC Rubis Terminal Antwerp we are committed to conducting our business in a manner that protects the health and safety of our employees, contractors, visitors, customers and neighbours.
We have one clear policy: we execute our operations safely or we don’t execute them at all. To make this principle visible for employees and all other stakeholders we set up programs, procedures, trainings, and inspections. We endeavour to optimize processes and improve ourselves day by day.
When managing our operations, we always try to minimize the impact. Our aim is to be a ‘zero emissions’ terminal and therefore we measure them on a daily basis. We fulfill this expectation by designing our installations according to the best current practices. Excess vapours are treated mainly by using thermal oxidizers at high temperature to maximize the destruction of hazardous air pollutants.
To guarantee high standard services to our customers, we maintain a quality system that is ISO 9001:2008 certified and CDI-T audited. Our management system contains all the necessary tools, policies and procedures in order to meet our customers’ expectations. Moreover we maintain our level of quality by training and auditing and we aim to improve by tracking KPI’s and action plans.
As a tank terminal we store large quantities of valuable and potentially hazardous products. To prevent theft, vandalism and even terrorism, we continuously identify and analyze security threats. Based on this risk evaluation, our terminal has implemented counter measures which include fencing, security guards, camera surveillance, patrols and electronic access control systems in compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
